Why do I feel disconnected from God?
This is not just a question about distance.
It is a question that rises…
When something that once felt alive,
Feels out of reach.
There was a sense of connection.
Not perfect…
But present.
And now…
Something feels interrupted.
Not gone.
But harder to find.
What once felt natural…
Now feels distant.
And the question forms:
What changed?
Was it something I did?
Something I missed?
Something I lost along the way?
We often assume disconnection means failure.
That something has gone wrong.
So we try to fix it.
Try harder.
Reach further.
But the distance does not always close that way.
Because what we are feeling…
Is not always separation.
Sometimes…
It is transition.
Where what once felt familiar…
No longer carries us the same way.
Not because it was false.
But because something deeper is unfolding.
And in that space…
The connection we knew
Feels less certain.
Less visible.
Less immediate.
And yet…
Not gone.
The question begins to shift.
Not only:
Why do I feel disconnected from God?
But:
Is He still present…
Even when I do not feel it?
Because there are moments…
Where nothing feels responsive.
Nothing feels near.
Nothing feels clear.
And still…
Something remains.
Quiet.
Unseen.
But not absent.
And slowly…
Something begins to change.
Not that the feeling returns right away…
But that what we called disconnection…
May not be what it seemed.
That what feels like distance…
May not be separation.
And that even here…
We are not outside of Him.
Not forgotten.
Not cut off.
Not beyond His presence.
And something in us softens…
Not because everything is restored…
But because the connection…
May have never been lost,
Only deeper than we recognized.
