THE FORMATION SERIES
Title
The Formation Series
A Journey Through Scripture—from Genesis to Revelation
Opening
These writings were not created as isolated reflections, but as part of a larger journey.
From the beginning, there has been a consistent movement—one that unfolds across Scripture and within the human heart. What begins in Genesis finds its development through the law, its tension in the wilderness, its voice in the prophets, and its unveiling in Christ.
The Formation Series traces that movement.
It is not simply a study of Scripture.
It is an invitation to see the formation of a people—and the formation of the heart—through the lens of God drawing near.
About This Series
The Formation Series follows the arc of Scripture from Genesis through Revelation, not as disconnected books, but as a unified progression.
Each book contributes to a larger story:
How God reveals Himself
How humanity responds
How formation unfolds through both alignment and failure
How everything ultimately moves toward restoration
This series is built on a simple conviction:
Scripture is not merely information to be understood.
It is a journey to be entered.
How to Read This Series
This series is best read progressively, though not rigidly.
You may:
Move sequentially from Genesis forward
Read within a section (Torah, Prophets, etc.)
Or explore alongside other works in the library
If you are new to this framework:
👉 Begin with Genesis, and allow the movement to unfold naturally.
The Flow
This journey follows a clear progression:
Genesis → Beginning, identity, and promise
Exodus → Deliverance and God drawing near
Leviticus → Learning to live within His presence
Numbers → Formation through tension and testing
Deuteronomy → Reorientation and alignment
Then:
Historical Books → Living out the promise (and failing within it)
Wisdom Books → The inner life of the heart
Prophets → Correction, calling, and restoration
Finally:
The Gospels & Letters → Fulfillment and revelation in Christ
Revelation → The unveiling of what has always been true

Place in the Library
The Formation Series represents one way to move through the entire library as a unified whole.
It provides a structural and theological backbone for understanding how each part connects to the larger story.
Final Note
You do not need to follow this path to engage these writings.
But for those who sense that Scripture is telling a single, unfolding story—
this journey offers a way to walk through it with clarity, depth, and continuity.
